Now your chance is here. Take part in this Sino-Danish Network/SAS competition, where five winners will be flown to Copenhagen to get a real life experience of studying, living and career opportunities in Denmark.

As part of opening their new direct route from Shanghai to Copenhagen, SAS - Scandinavian Airlines - have reserved five free seats for talented engineering students from Shanghai. SAS has asked Sino-Danish Network to launch this competition and Copenhagen Capacity and Study in Denmark to put together a high profiled program for a unique four day trip to Denmark.

 

 

 

“What awaits the winners?”

 

In Copenhagen awaits the winners a high profiled four days program presenting:

 

  • Visits to Technical University of Denmark and Aalborg University Copenhagen to hear about engineering studies in Denmark.
  • Visits to Danish companies with departments in China, such as Maersk and Haldor Topsøe, to learn about career opportunities in Danish companies.
  • Sightseeing in beautiful Copenhagen, seeing eg. The Little Mermaid, The Royal Castle and Tivoli.

 

 

Sino-Danish Network Agents

As part of the prize, the winners will be appointed Sino-Danish Network Agents, recording and reporting their experiences in Denmark via video diary and daily Weibo posts. The agents’ job will be to help Sino-Danish Network in our mission of promoting Danish study and career opportunities.

 

 

The competition prize includes:

  • SAS roundtrip from Shanghai to Copenhagen, Denmark 25th to 29th of March 2012
  • Visa to Denmark
  • Travel insurance for the five days of travel (if needed)
  • Accommodation in Copenhagen
  • Transportation round Copenhagen
  • All meals during the trip

 

The only thing left for the winners is to bring is their own pocket money!

 

 

“How do I participate?”

 

We are looking for the most talented Chinese engineering students from Shanghai to participate in this competition. In order to participate you simply complete the following three steps:

 

 

1. Make sure your calendar is open the 25th to 29th of March 2012, where the trip to Denmark will take place.

 

2. Download and fill in the Competition Form with your data and motivation for winning. DOWNLOAD FORM HERE!!

 

3. Send all of the above by email marked “SAS Competition” to info@sinodanishnetwork.com Deadline is 10am 8th of March 2012.

After the deadline the most qualified candidates will be selected and invited to a further interview on 12th or 13th of March 2012, before a competition committee will make the final decision on which five candidates will win.

 

 

The members of the competition committee are:

  • Susanne Hyldelund, Consul General at the Royal Danish Consulate General in Shanghai
  • Lars Olofsson, General Manager of SAS Greater China
  • Morten King-Grubert, Head of Secretariat - Copenhagen Goodwill Ambassador Corps, Copenhagen Capacity
  • Lars Christensen, Science and Technology Consul at Innovation Center Denmark, Shanghai, and Sino-Danish Network Director.

 

 

The final five winners will be appointed and contacted at March 14th 2012 and will on March 19th 2012 meet with Sino-Danish Network representatives and the competition committee members at the Consul General’s office in Shanghai for an official winner ceremony.

GPA Score*

Proper filled in Competition Form

 

* If you are selected to the next round of interviews, you will be asked to provide an authorised transcript of your academic performances with university stamp (translates into English).
