Sino-Danish Network collects information from its registered users (members) and this is the guidelines for how data is collected, for what purposes and who can access them. The collection, use and disclosure of your personal information will remain subject to the limitations of this privacy statement.

Sino-Danish Network reserves the right to modify these terms at any time and will publish notice of any such modifications online. By continuing your membership with the Sino-Danish Network after notice of such modifications has been published, you signify your agreement to be bound by them.

Data collection

By signing up as a member of Sino-Danish Network you will be protected a personal username and password. It is your responsibility not to share or misuse the username and password.

Data is only collected through the registration that you fill in and upload yourself. Information on the registration form marked with * is essential (e.g. name, e-mail address) and therefore considered compulsory. The data in the registration will be registered and contained in a database.

Do you decide to no longer be a member of the network, your data be deleted. If you decide to leave the network please notify Sino-Danish Network by email that you wish to do so, and your profile will be deleted.

Private or Open Profile

By making you profile private Sino-Danish Network will not give partner companies and universities access to contact you directly. Only Sino-Danish Network will have access to your profile information. By choosing “Private Profile” where partner companies and universities have no access to your CV, consequently you will not have the opportunity to be recruited through Sino/Danish Network.

By making your profile open you allow Sino-Danish Network to forward your CV and contact information to our partner companies and universities in their process of recruiting new employees from users in the Sino-Danish Network database. Your information will not be given to any others than the ones approved as Sino-Danish Network partner companies and universities. 

Data purposes and services

The data is collected for the purposes that fall within Sino-Danish Network. Sino-Danish Network collects and uses your information to operate the network and deliver the services of the network, and in order to inform you about other products or services available from the network.

That is to improve the matching between the registered users and the opportunities offered by the partners in the network – Danish universities and companies – and for the alumni network.

Members will consent to receive information from Sino-Danish Network in electronic form, including e.g. periodic member letter e-mails, e-newsletter. The network may also send you surveys regarding current services or potential new services that may be offered.

Data access

In order to guarantee our members their privacy, all access to information about members in the Sino-Danish Network goes through Sino-Danish Network administrators, Innovation Centre Denmark, Shanghai:

• Only Sino-Danish Network administrators, Innovation Centre Denmark, Shanghai, and the other Danish diplomatic missions in China, will have access to the information that you have submitted with the registration form.

• Danish universities and companies, who are partners of the network, will only be able to access your information through the Sino-Danish Network administrators, Innovation Centre Denmark, Shanghai.
  • Your data in the registration form that is directly referable to you as a person (name, e-mail, address, telephone number, photo) will not be disclosed to the partners unless you explicitly consent.  You give your concent by choosing "open profile" in the registration form.
  • Do you upload a CV, we assume that you are interested in sharing it with and potentially being contacted by e.g. Danish companies for open job positions or the Danish representations reg. alumni activities. Upon request, Innovation Centre Denmark, Shanghai will grant access to your CV to the partners of network.

Sino-Danish Network does not sell, rent or lease information of the member’s personal information to third parties outside the network.

Sino-Danish Network may access and/or disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of law; or (b) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of network members, services or members of the public.

Sino-Danish Network strive do our best to ensure the confidentiality and safety of your data. However, it is not possible to give a full guarantee or safety, when transferring data over the internet. There is always the risk of misuse from outsiders, and you therefore send the data at your own risk.

Cookies

This information (traffic data, including your IP address) is transmitted and stored on the website database. This information is to compile reports on website activity to provide a better services relating to website activity.

You may refuse to use cookies on your computer by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. Be aware that without cookies you may not use all site features. Sino-Danish Network administrators uses web statistics to improve and develop the website.
